Since 2001, UBC Engineering Physics has been holding an annual robotics competition. In six weeks, each robot must be designed, built and tested by teams of 4. At the end, the robot must autonomously complete a unique objective that is different for each year. In 2018, the theme is Star Wars! Our robot must perform the following tasks:
- Navigate through a course marked by black tape.
- Cross two gaps in the course.
- Detect different IR frequencies to pass through a gate.
- Rescue stuffed toys along the way.
- Transport them safely back to starting point.
