Leading up to the competition, Twitchy looked very promising to reach first place. We won every event and milestone leading up to the competition including time trials and a mini-competition the weekend prior. We were able to achieve great consistency in our testing the night before and were very confident in Twitchy's ability to perform well. However, sometimes things just don't go the way you would expect. On the first run, Twitchy triggered the alarmed gate due to some bad positioning. We were able to reset but time ran out just as Twitchy got up the second bridge. Still hopeful, Twitchy started off amazingly in his second run. He retrieved every ewok and picked up Chewbacca but as he tried to deliver the basket, it got stuck. With significantly less points from our two runs as we had planned, Twitchy did not make the next round. After scoring an average of 12 points in each run the day before, Twitchy only managed a total of 8 in both runs of the competition. Although Twitchy was unable to deliver the consistency that we expected on competition day, we are still proud to have built such an amazing robot.
